Orion Group win SCDI Award - Outstanding Business Achievement

Orion Group Scotland's biggest manpower provider has scooped the coveted SCDI Highland and Islands Chairman Award for Outstanding Business Achievement at a ceremony at the Drumossie Hotel, Inverness on Friday 14 Sep.
Orion Group has had 25 successful years and totalled record sales of £317m during 2011. The Group is continually striving to be the best in the world and this year Orion will see an increase of £60m in sales in 2011.
Michael Urquhart, SCDI Highlands & Islands Chairman said:
Orion Group celebrates its 25th birthday this year and given their contribution to the community and commitment to the Highlands they are rightfully receiving this recognition.
"With 128 staff employed at their Inverness base, 259 deployed around the world and over 4,000 contractors working through the Group at any one time, Orion plays an important role in the Highland economy.
"Alan Savage's drive, determination and commitment to his company saw it achieve record sales of £317m last year and I have no doubt that they will continue to grow from strength to strength."
Commenting on their success Alan Savage, Chairman of Orion Group added:
"I am delighted that Orion have received the SCDI Chairman's Award for Outstanding Business Achievement, recognising the dedication and skills of our staff both in Inverness and around the world.
"When I started Orion 25 years ago I had never thought that it would become the success it is today and I am honoured to receive this recognition on behalf of all those who have worked to make Orion what it is today."
Alan continued, "2012 is proving to be a bumper year for Orion Group. We're currently in the throes of enjoying our 25th Anniversary and now we get to add this SCDI Award to our reasons to celebrate."f
